Douglass, Elaine

Elaine DouglasElaine Douglass, MS, (29 March 1944, New York, NY - 27 January 2014, Moab, Utah) was a UFO and Alien Abduction investigator. She held a masterís degree from MIT in military policy. She got involved in UFO research in 1985, and remained active in the field until she lost her battle to cancer.

MUFON

She was MUFON State Director for Utah for twelve years (1998-2010) and before that she was State Director for Washington, DC for many years. Elaine was one of 4 state directors and 2 assistant state directors who were purged from MUFON in December 2010. As a result, she became a participant in a newly-formed Committee to Reform MUFON (CRM), which was calling for significant change in MUFON.

Operation Right to Know

In the 1990s she was one of the organizers for Operation Right to Know (ORTK), an organization which sponsored public protests against UFO secrecy.

Alien Abduction Research & JAR Magazine

From the onset, i.e. since the mid 80s, a lot of Elaine's research focused on alien abductions.
She was one of the founders and a member of the editorial board of JAR Magazine (the Journal of Abduction-Encounter Research).
