Vanir

In Norse mythology, the Vanir are a group of gods associated with fertility, abundance, and nature. They are one of the two primary groups of gods, the other being the Aesir. The Vanir include deities such as Freya, Frey, and Njord, who embody the forces of nature and the cycle of life. They are often depicted as benevolent and associated with prosperity, agriculture, and the earth. The Vanir engaged in a conflict with the Aesir known as the Aesir-Vanir War, which eventually ended in a truce and the integration of the Vanir into the Aesir pantheon. Despite this, the Vanir retained their distinct character and continued to be revered as a separate group of gods associated with fertility and abundance.
