Buddha

The Buddha was born in the sixth century BC as Prince Siddharta Gautama, in the Kingdom of the Sakyas, in the area that is now Northern India - Nepal.
He married princess Yasodhara at the age of 16 and left his home and family at the age of 29, soon after the birth of his only child Rahula, because he wanted to find an answer to the question of human suffering. He traveled around for six years until, one day, while lying under the Bodhi-tree, he found enlightenment, and the answers to his questions.

The Buddha is the founder of Buddhism.

In Theosophy and present New Age theories, he is one of the Ascended Masters, connected to the Temple of Spirit-hierarchy, in Shamballa, which is in the Etheric realm, and physically located in Gobi Desert.
