Magical tools

When performing magic, the wizard or witch has a whole arsenal of physical tools he or she will use. These typically include:
- an altar,
- a witch's or wizards knife (called athame or bolline),
- a wand,
- a chalice (or cauldron or goblet) in which philters (or potions) are made,
- a cord (or girdle or cingulum),
- candles,
- ribbons, etc.
