Stevens, Wendelle
Lt Col Wendelle C. Stevens (1923-2010) was a veteran US UFO researcher, specialising in contactee research.
He was born in 1923 and enlisted in the U.S. Military Service at an early age. He alternated his career between pilot and Air Technical Service assignments with the Air Technical Intelligence Center (ATIC) at Wright Field. In 1947 Stevens was assigned from ATIC to Alaska where he first encountered stories of real UFOs, and became interested in the subject. Mr. Stevens had one of the largest collections of actual UFO photographs in private hands in the world. He has been actively investigating UFO contact cases since 1975 when his photo interests brought him into investigating the famous Billy Meier contactee case in Switzerland.
He passed away on 7 September 2010.
