Uranus

1. In Greek and Roman Mythology, Uranus (spelled Ouranos in Greek), was the god of the skies, of space, of the universe. He was the Father of the Titans, and the grandfather of Zeus / Jupiter. He was the husband of Gaia, the Earth. He was castrated by his son Chronos (Time).

2. In Astronomy, Uranus is the name given to one of the outer planets of our solar system. It is the seventh planet in our solar system, and is a gas giant. Its axis is severly tilted relative to the rest of the planets in the solar system. Uranus was ony discovered in 1781.
