Birds

As a symbol, birds represent transcendence, the soul, spirits of the air, the ability to see from a higher perspective. The bird's ability to fly has always represented freedom from the physical restrictions or earth-bound life, and the ascent of the soul to the gods. Because birds come from the skies, they can also become messengers from higher powers.
